BOSTON (
MyFoxBoston.com) -- A New Hampshire man wanted on sex offense charges was arrested by Transit Police after police say he was loitering at an MBTA station.
Police say that 21-year-old Andrew Pike of Manchester was seen loitering at the Washington and Summer Street entrance to Downtown Crossing station when approached by officers.
Officers say they engaged Pike in a conversation, and that Pike gave police a fake name and birth date to hide his identity.
The officers soon found out Pike's true identity and discovered that he was wanted by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department of New Hampshire on child-fondling charges.
Pike was arrested and taken to Transit Police headquarters. He will also be charged with being a fugitive from justice.
