Police make arrest in deadly Brockton brawl

BROCKTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police have made an arrest following a brawl in a Brockton park that left one person dead.

Three teens were stabbed in the fight that broke out at about 6:30 p.m. at Edgar Park on April 22. Over 50 police officers responded to the area where several people were involved in the altercation. About 100 hundred kids were at the park and witnessed what happened.

Ywron Martins, one of the teens stabbed, was flown to the hospital where he died from his injuries. Police say he was stabbed several times.

Police issued a warrant for 24-year-old Anildo Lopes Correia for murder in connection with the stabbing. On Sunday night, Correia was arrested in Fall River.

The suspect is scheduled for arraignment on Monday in Brockton District Court.
