BOSTON (AP) - U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren will continue her tour of Massachusetts with stops along the state's South Coast.
Warren is scheduled to begin Friday with a private meeting with Fall River Mayor Sam Sutter, state lawmakers and local officials at Fall River City Hall. The group will hold a news conference afterward.
Warren will then visit the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth to tour a new bioengineering laboratory. She also plans to talk with students about the importance of improving college affordability.
The senator will meet in the afternoon with members of the Buzzards Bay Coalition in New Bedford to discuss ways to protect the bay.
She plans to wrap up the day with a private meeting with New Bedford Mayor Jon Mitchell to discuss offshore wind, the fishing industry and other issues.
