LINCOLN, R.I. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A 27-year-old Rhode Island man accused of killing a Massachusetts man in Sept. 2011 will appear in court Thursday to face a fugitive from justice charge.
On July 21, Willie Wilkerson, of Lincoln, R.I., was arrested on a warrant for the September 19, 2011 murder of 23-year-old Kristopher Rosa.
Wilkerson, who had previously been charged with procuring perjury in Rosa's murder, was scheduled Thursday to appear in a Rhode Island court to face a fugitive from justice charge; however, it is unclear when he will return to Massachusetts to answer to the murder charge.
Rhandisyn Lawrence also faces murder charges for his involvement in the fatal shooting.
Rosa, a father and Avon resident, was shot to death while driving a car on Central Street in Avon while his girlfriend was in the passenger seat. She drove Rosa to a Brockton hospital where he later died.
