Suspicious package prompts bomb squad response in Boston - Boston News, Weather, Sports | FOX 25 | MyFoxBoston

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – A suspicious package found outside the Boston Common Hotel prompted bomb squad response early Sunday morning.

The unattended package was called into the Boston Police Department just before 2 a.m. The bomb squad responded to the hotel located at 40 Trinity Pl. and secured the perimeter.

Following an investigation, authorities determined there was no public danger and found the box contained weights. It is unclear who left the package.

The building is also home to the Boston Athletic Association.
