Monday's temperatures and humidity were not as high as Saturday, but it was still warm and sticky.
Dew points were in the 60s, but a front had slipped south of us, allowing some slightly cooler air to arrive. That front will be moving back north overnight, pushing heavy downpours into New England. Some could be thunderstorms.
The heaviest will stay in western and central Massachusetts, though a few downpours will move into eastern MA as well. There will be fewer showers after 8 a.m., but the second part of the system will move through during the afternoon. That will be ahead of the cold front and could include thunderstorms through the later part of the afternoon and into the evening.
The cold front will be through most of the area early Wednesday. That could mean few showers and storms Wednesday. Less humid air will move in by Wednesday night and stay with us through Friday or even Saturday. The warmer, more humid air will come back by Sunday.
Overall, not a bad vacation week. However, the storms Tuesday should be monitored if you will be outdoors. You can download the FOX 25 News and/or Weather apps for your mobile device to keep an eye on radar with us.
