
NORWOOD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A 33-year-old Boston man was killed in an early morning crash in Norwood.
At 4:15 a.m. Monday, state troopers responded to a two-car crash on Route 95 southbound, near Exit 11A. When troopers arrived at the scene, they found a 2008 Lexus sedan had made contact with a 2013 Chevy Silverado. State police said the Lexus then hit the median strip and came to rest against the bridge abutment.
The unidentified driver of the Lexus was thrown from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
State police said speed was a factor in the crash.
The driver of the Chevy truck was not injured and is not expected to face any charges.
The road was closed for about four hours to allow for investigation and clean-up of the crash. Commuter traffic was heavily impacted by the time the road reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
