EASTOVER, N.C. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A heartwarming video captures a little girl reuniting with her deployed dad at a school assembly.
The video, posted on YouTube by Fayobserver.com, shows 7-year-old Madeline Webster participating in a school assembly at an Eastover, N.C. elementary school.
Shortly after Madeline begins singing "My Country ‘Tis of Thee" with her classmates her eyes get wide, her jaw drops and her face lights up.
She's overcome with joy but continues to trying to sing, until someone relieves her of her microphone. That's when she starts giggling and runs into the arms of her father.
According to Fayobserver.com, Madeline's father, Sgt. 1st Class William Webster, was deployed to South Korea and was home two months early.
