BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – A Beverly man is accused of offering a female MBTA officer $40 to perform a sexual act on him.
Handell Liburd, 33, was arrested Tuesday and charged with soliciting sexual conduct for a fee. He is expected to be arraigned Wednesday in Boston Municipal Court.
At about 6 p.m., plainclothes Transit Police officers from Area 1 were on patrol at the Chinatown MBTA station. Police said a female officer was then approached by Liburd, who took a seat on the bench next to the undercover officer and started a conversation with her.
Police said Liburd eventually asked the officer if she was interested in earning some money and then bluntly offered her $40 in exchange for a sexual act.
Officers present approached Liburd, identified themselves as Transit Police officers, and took him into custody.
