NFL uninterested in settling with Brady
by: Butch Stearns Updated:
BOSTON- The NFL does not see any need to reopen any settlement talks with Tom Brady according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Brady is currently facing a four game suspension for this upcoming NFL season after his suspension was reinstated on Monday by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Brady and his legal team are mulling their options but a source close to Brady tells FOX 25 that the Patriots Quarterback is adamant about fighting this decision. According to the source, Brady has never wavered on his innocence and he is not wavering now.
One option for Brady and his team is to appeal this latest decision and possibly take it to the Supreme Court.
According to Schefter's source 'neither Brady or the NFLPA has provided any rationale for settlement discussions". And " if the two sides were to reach a settlement that time would have been last summer"
Brady has until Monday May 9th to file for an appeal if he chooses to do so. If the suspension is upheld Brady would miss the Patriots first four regular season games which are at Arizona, then home against Miami, Houston and Buffalo
