After a brief investigation, 49-year-old Allison Silvestri, of Sturbridge, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Silvestri had operated a school bus to the school, police said.
“There were no students on the bus in transit at any time," said Sergeant Kevin R. Mercier. “School personnel and fellow drivers intervened and contacted 911 believing there was a medical issue. The school bus continued on its assigned route, operated by a substitute driver and there were no delays for students.”
Silvestri is being held at the Sturbridge Public Safety Complex pending bail. She will be arraigned in Dudley District Court on Monday.
