Convenience store closed after driver crashes through entrance

A Brockton convenience store is doing everything they can to reopen after a driver crashed into the front of the building.
It happened around 5 p.m. at 77 Legion Pkwy.
Police tell FOX25 the driver, a 70-year-old Brockton woman whose family owns a neighboring business, accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes while parking.
“Usually a lot of people are standing out here in the evening,” Brockton resident Lauren Lange said.
Surveillance video shows at least one person jump out of the way as the SUV crashed.
Inside the store, glass and merchandise was spread everywhere. The store owner said much of the merchandise will have to be thrown away.
“We are a corner store, we can’t afford to close a few days or even a few hours. Hoping to open as quickly as possible,” the store owner said.
