FRAMINGHAM, Mass. —

A school bus driver is accused of urinating on the steps of his bus in front of shocked children, and FOX25 has learned that he is a retired police officer.

James Finks is a retired veteran Framingham police officer, and now he is on the other side of the law facing open and gross lewdness.

Finks is a fill-in bus driver and allegedly urinated on the steps of the bus while kids were on board.

“He had been a fill in bus driver. He had been working the other day transporting students to the Hemingway school,” Framingham Police Chief Kenneth Ferguson told FOX25.

Parents that FOX25 spoke to were disgusted.

“I don’t want my kid to see that or any kids to see that,” parent David Bass told FOX25.

The incident happened in front of Hememway Elementary School on Thursday afternoon, sources told FOX25. Several children witnessed it and yelled out, ‘What is my bus driver doing?’

“He had to relieve himself, so he did so in the presence of children on the bus, outside of the bus, parents outside of the bus, and children in the classroom,” Ferguson said.

FOX25’s Malini Basu stopped by Finks’ home Monday. The TV was on, but there was no response at the door.

Even though Finks served 32 years as an officer, police say they are treating the case no differently.

“We handle this like any other incident, it's an unfortunate incident. Charge them just like any other person committed the act,” Ferguson told FOX25.
