Starr Hair Studio is conveniently located in downtown Boston on Newbury St. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere welcoming and they do a great job. I always get compliments on my hair cut and color. I recommend Starr to my friends - because I think they are such a great value.

A friend recommended Kim to me - one visit and I knew why. Kim is patient (she helped me decide on color for almost an HOUR before she started mixing), an excellent stylist and colorist (love the cut, the exact color I wanted), and down-to-earth (no Newbury attitude here). I will definitely be making the trek to Newbury to see her again.

It takes me one and a half hours to get to Starr but it has been worth it for more than 25 years. Doug is a superb stylist and I always get complements on my cut and coloring. Lily and Bobby are terrific also - I see the excellent results of their artistry on other satisfied people. This is a very friendly salon - none of those pretentious snobby types. A friend from Maine goes to Starr when she is in town and is enthusiastic also. It is convenient to the "T". I never have to wait for more than 10 minutes. Great place!
