Every time I have brought my car here (which I will never do again), I have to bring it back.

1. Had them replace air filter. The broke the screws that hold the housing down and did not replace the. Took it back for repair, and all they did was put the housing back on with out replacing the screws, so it is still flapping around. Need to take it to another shop for repair.

2. Took car in to have tires rotated. Very poor job. Loose lug nuts, terrible balancing.

3. Took car to have shocks replaced and had mechanic argue with me about replacing the boots for them, even though another mechanic I was getting quote from stated "If shocks are being replaced, while you're in their replace the boots, cause if shocks are going or gone, boots probably have taken some beating. Mechanic at Firestone had already taken car apart despite my telling them to hold on, then told me they would have to charge me labor for disassembling/reassembling the shocks, so I "...may as well just get it done here."

4. Labor is way overpriced, as are parts, especially their tires.

Honestly, every Firestone I've taken a car to has seemed sketchy. Seems as though I come out with another problem. Maybe Firestone needs a better business plan than "try breaking something or repair it poorly so they need to come back soon.

I brought my car here because I had two slow leaks in my rear tires. They told me that one of the tires couldn't be fixed and tried to get me to order new tires from them. Their quote for the tires was $239 adn they were $209 at Sullivan Tire.

Similar to the other bad review, they also told me that I needed new brake pads and rotors, but I haven't had a chance to take it to someone else to see if I really do or not.

But I took my car to Sullivan Tire two shops down, the guy took one look at the tire, saw the puncture from a nail and said "no problem, we can patch the hole" and I didn't have to buy any new tires. Saved $500-$1000 on 2 or 4 new tires. I'm not impressed, wouldn't go back here, feel lucky to have gotten out of it with just the $26 I paid them.

Our friends at Firestone Boston tried to scam me - very disappointing and infuriating. I took my car in for a standard oil change and was pleased to hear they looked at my brakes as a courtesy. I was told that my rotors, brake pads needed to be replaced & the calipers cleaned and adjusted - $450 estimate for all of this, at only 30,000 miles. I was suspicious, so took to another place for a second evaluation - rotors and pads just needed a quick clean-up - $80. Will never go back, recommend at least a second opinion if they do something similar to you.

Firestone provides fast and excellent service for those with car problems. Typically they finish oil changes or tune ups in an hour and they have given me several discounts for both. With as many problems as my car has, Firestone is the best car care place I have found in Boston.
