Great find!
Needing a cut to fix the disaster the last stylist made of my hair, I took a leap of faith and booked with Beaucage. I'd been exploring straightening techniques to try on my bird's nest and found that this salon did both Yuko and keratin treatments and had good reviews, so I thought "why not?" I called, made the appointment for that evening, and read more reviews. I started getting nervous at all the remarks about how stuck up the staff was (being that I am a recent grad on a tight budget) and began to regret booking the appointment (you do get charged for cancellations). I hate going into those places (think A&F) since I usually get snubbed by the snobby kids who work there, and I worried about that hour I'd have to spend feeling like I wasn't good enough to be a client. I have to say at that point I had serious doubts.
When I arrived, I was surprised by how nice all the staff was. One immediately ran to make my tea, and before she even had time to bring my drink, Crystal came out to meet me (note: the salon was busy). She was awesome! She agreed that the last cut was horrible, came up with a plan to fix it, had the same vision for my cut, and answered all my questions about straightening (one of her coworkers even took time to talk to me about Yuko). And she was from the South too, so we had a lot to talk about (I usually dread that awkward small talk stuff). At the end, she dried my hair, and I was blown away at how great a job she did. I've NEVER had a stylist that could use a blowdryer on my hair and get better results than I do with a CHI. I'll admit, I looked so good after! I asked her if she wouldn't mind living in my bathroom and doing my hair everyday, but I don't think it's gonna work out. I guess I'll just settle for just going back every few months.
I do have to qualify my praise by saying, I did not park, I don't color, and I haven't tried their other services, but what I had done met my high expectations. I will be back!
