Mass. Probation Fugitive Busted in Roxbury

BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Dennis Lauber was arraigned in court on Friday after spending weeks on the run.

The 46-year-old who was one of the State Probation's Most Wanted Fugitives was arrested Thursday night in Roxbury.

The Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section tracked down Lauber to an address in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston and placed him under arrest.

The 46-year-old was one of nine men placed on the MA Probation's Most Wanted Fugitive List in December. Lauber is the third man arrested since Fox 25 first reported on the list. Two other men placed on the list were discovered to be dead.

Lauber, like the other names on the list, was wanted for violating the terms of his probation. Among the convictions on his record: armed robbery, assault and battery, and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Dennis Lauber's arrest leaves four men still Wanted by the Massachusetts Probation Department.

A judge ordered Lauber be held without bail until a Jan. 23 hearing after a prosecutor pointed out that he has several cases open.
