WORCESTER - A Massachusetts woman accused in a robbery attempt that ended with the death of her alleged partner has been sentenced to up to two years in prison.
Jannine O'Connor of Billerica was sentenced by a Worcester Superior Court judge on Thursday after pleading guilty to unarmed robbery.
Police say the 40-year-old O'Connor and Leslie Moore teamed to rob a Fitchburg variety store in October.
They say O'Connor demanded cash, then fled in a car driven by Moore.
Police pursued them to Rindge, N.H., where the women allegedly abandoned their original car, stole another vehicle and headed back to Fitchburg.
Police say Moore was fatally shot after she used her car as a weapon and crashed into several police cruisers while trying to escape. O'Connor was arrested at the scene.
