PLAISTOW, N.H. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston) - A remorseful robber wanted for taking cash and a GPS from a woman's purse last month has turned himself in.
On Aug. 4, 38-year-old Christopher Piantedosi, of Burlington, call police in Plaistow, N.H., and identified himself as the person wanted for the theft at Market Basket on July 18. He turned himself in to police on Tuesday.
Piantedosi was arrested for Theft By Unauthorized Taking or Transfer, Class B Misdemeanor and released on $2500 personal recognizance bail.
A week after the theft, the woman says the guy showed up at her house, returned the GPS and money – and even gave her a little extra for her trouble! He also mailed back her credit cards and an apology letter.
Piantedosi is scheduled to appear in Plaistow Court on Sept. 13.
