Police release surveillance video of North End assault

BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Boston Police have released surveillance video that they say shows the suspect in an indecent assault that happened in the North End on Saturday. The video also includes images of two potential witnesses: a female in a black dress and a male in a white tank top and blue jeans.

Investigators are appealing to the community for information relative to the suspect and/or the witnesses featured in the video.

The video was obtained from the area of Hanover and Prince Street at around 2:20 a.m.

Boston Police responded to the area after the attack where a woman reported that she was approached by a man who tried to get into her apartment.

The victim refused at which point she said the suspect indecently assaulted her by touching her inappropriately before fleeing toward North Street.

The victim provided the following description:
The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, with gelled back hair, about 5'6", 150 lbs (slim build) wearing a blue pinned striped shirt and brown khaki pants .
