AUBURN, N.H. - New Hampshire state police say it took seven cruisers from the state police and two local police departments to stop a driver first spotted traveling the wrong way on Route 101 in the town of Auburn.

At about 8 p.m. last night, state police received a report of a car traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes near exit 2.

Four state police cruisers, two from Raymond and one from Candia pursued the car into Candia where the driver was taken into custody. There were no injuries.

Police say 56-year-old Sheila Denoncourt of Candia was taken to the Epping police department where she was charged with reckless conduct. Denoncourt was later released to her daughter.
