DORCHESTER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Dorchester residents are calling for an end to the violence just a day after a 4-year-old boy was caught in the crossfire of a gang shooting.

The young boy was at Harambee Park Monday night when he was struck in the back. A 24-year-old man was also grazed by a bullet.

The boy is in stable condition at Boston Medical Center.

Police are looking to question some teens on motorbikes who sped away from the scene, but so far there have been no arrests.

Tuesday, Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino announced the city will crack down on illegal motor bikes, similar to the ones those teens rode away on.

"Operation Kickstand" would target motor bikes that are not properly registered, operated on recreational paths and driven recklessly.
