DEDHAM (AP) - Two brothers have been found guilty of manslaughter after managing an illegal basement apartment in Quincy where an Iraqi immigrant and his two sons were killed in a 2009 fire.

A jury convicted Andy Huang and Jason Huang on Thursday after three days of deliberations.

The fire killed 39-year-old Oudah Frawi and his 1-year-old and two-month-old sons.

Thirteen people escaped the fire, which was started by a faulty lamp that ignited a couch in the basement.

The apartment had just one way out, and smoke detectors and a fire alarm system weren't working.

The Huangs were charged with three counts of manslaughter, each carrying up to 20 years in prison. They face sentencing at a later date.

A third co-owner is serving a 2½ year sentence after pleading guilty to charges including manslaughter.
