DORCHESTER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Three people, including Boston police officer Shawn Marando, were shot in an early morning domestic disturbance in the city's Dorchester neighborhood.
The shooting happened around 7 a.m. at 22 Dunbar Ave.
Commissioner Ed Davis says the officer Marando was responding to a home for reports of a domestic incident when he was shot in the leg. He returned fire and shot both a man and woman.
The officer and a woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The female is being treated at Beth Israel Hospital. A male who was shot is in critical condition at Boston Medical Center.
It was not immediately clear who shot the officer.
No names have been released.
Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis will hold a news conference at 1 p.m. today.
