WAREHAM, Mass. (AP) - An assistant scoutmaster in Wareham has been accused of inappropriately touching a boy in his troop.

Police say 25-year-old Joshua Roe pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and was released on $10,000 cash bail.

Police say the alleged incident took place in Roe's home and during his capacity as a volunteer for Boy Scouts of America, although it was not a regularly scheduled troop meeting.

Wareham police say because of Roe's position, they are investigating whether there are any other alleged victims.

A call to a listed number for Roe went unanswered.

Roe is due back in court on May 3.
