BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Two Massachusetts men are being held without bail after pleading not guilty to allegations that they shot dead a 14-year-old honors student and wounded another teenager in Boston.

Timothy Hearns of Boston and Ramon Silvelo-Miles of Lynn were arraigned Wednesday in Suffolk Superior Court on charges including first-degree murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Prosecutors say the suspects were on "a mission to rival gang territory" when they killed eighth-grader Jaewon Martin on a basketball court in the city's Jamaica Plain neighborhood in May. He was not a gang member.

Silvelo-Miles allegedly drove the getaway vehicle. His attorney could not be reached for comment.

Hearns' lawyer did not immediately return a call for comment. He previously said that prosecutors presented no evidence against his client.
