MYFOXNY.COM - From social networking sites to job sites, the Internet could open doors in your search for work, but you should be careful before you point and click.
Dr. Lisa Orbay-Austin, a career counselor at Baruch College in Manhattan, suggests keeping personal information out of your online resume so your employer won't find you if they do a search.

Many sites, like Monster.com , allow you to be a confidential candidate.
Some other sites that help you find a job include Indeed.com and CareerBuilder.com .
A general rule is don't pay for a job search website.
Also, freshen up your resume to include searchable language to help it stand out. It's important to understand the jargon of your profession. And join a professional organization.
