FOX25, myfoxboston - "Twilight" came to life at one local school after rumors spread about vampires roaming the halls.

On Wednesday, police were called to the Boston Latin school because of the stories.

According to the Globe, law enforcement officials say some girls spread a rumor that a fellow student was a vampire who had cut someone's head and sucked their blood.

Some students were scared, others were just amused.

The school's headmaster put a stake in the rumors yesterday, denying the presence of vampires in a note home to parents.

There is no word on how the rumor got started.
