BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - CLICK HERE TO APPLY FOR THIS JOB
You’re not a software developer because it pays the bills; you’re an engineer because you love to solve hard problems. Or you love to learn along the way and work with fun people while you’re at it.
You’re tired of the “We’re looking for a Rockstar Developer” clichéd job descriptions. (Yeah, so are we.)
HubSpot: we’re fun, smart people with tough problems to solve, and we like to think we’re making a big difference and helping our customers grow their businesses. Our company is run transparently with a lot of interdepartmental collaboration, our QA team doesn’t hate on developers, and we stock a fridge full of beer and a library full of
reference books. We release quickly and fail fast, but we make time for the important things in life like videos of cats on youtube, nerf gun battles, and practical jokes.
HubSpot is developing large scale distributed web apps using cutting edge technology. Cool projects we have built include: A Hadoop
processing cluster for a web-scale analytics system that processes half a trillion log lines a month; A Solr-backed entity search tool
with millions of indexed objects; A realtime social media monitoring system processing over 5 million messages a day.
We use Java, Python, MySQL, Hadoop, and Solr. We do not mind if you have not used any of these technologies, but you should be an expert in something. Great engineers can (and should) change their toolset over time and HubSpot will ask you to learn new tools.
What you will do:
Join one our customer-focused product development teams. Develop web apps that help businesses do inbound marketing. Get access to real customer feedback. Learn and iterate quickly (we use Scrum and we
release daily)
