This individual will work as part of a technical team on all phases of the detail design, development and implementation of an enterprise J2EE application supporting national business functions for the Federal Reserve System. This would primarily include development activity (design and coding) for all application layers in the Model, View, Controller architectural pattern. It also includes responsibility for development and integration of the core components comprising these layers. This individual may also be involved with the application builds and deployment processes utilized in the various application migration environments.
Very strong Java developer skills, including a thorough understanding of the core Java APIs, J2EE technology, object oriented design and development principles, as well as underlying frameworks such as Struts and Spring. Must be able to effectively apply common J2EE design patterns within an enterprise-wide business application. Ability to quickly learn new technical approaches and effectively share knowledge with other team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of job related experience in the computer engineering field.
2. Familiarity with Weblogic, Oracle RDBMS, PL/SQL, JMS, UNIX and /or Windows platforms, and enterprise web application development required.
3. Advanced knowledge of and ability to efficiently write J2EE programs required.
4. Familiarity with Mule, Connect:Direct, Secure Transport, MQSeries, Siteminder, Sun Java Identity Manager, LDAP, or Robohelp a plus.
