Profitable and growing Edge Computing solutions industry leader.

Job Duties/Major Responsibilities:

Provide pre-sales and post sales support in the sales of complex Edge Computing solutions into the Digital Advertising market.
Provide technical expertise to new and existing customers in order to assist regional sales team in reaching sales revenue goals.
Responsible for technical pre-sales design recommendations and justifications.
Manage the technical aspects of sales prospecting and provisioning.
Communicate technical design requirements and implementation details to sales team and customers, both in formal documentation and verbally.
Communicate account and project status with internal teams, including sales, customer support and sales engineering management.
Design, document, and drive implementation of Edge Computing solutions, incorporating HTTP, caching protocols, Streaming (RTSP, Flash, HTTP Streaming), SSL, DNS, HTML, JavaScript, and W3C compatible WWW technologies.
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all technologies that the company sells.
Perform WebEx and on-site customer presentations.

Requirements

5+ years of proven success within a technical sales or presales role, or software engineer with a desire to transition into a costumer facing role.
Broad, high-level knowledge of Internet architectures and web application design, including digital advertising, retail, and similar applications.
Knowledge of content delivery and streaming architectures, and their implementation.
Proven ability to design, direct, document and implement solutions involving HTTP and Stream Caching technologies, edge computing, data collection, and distribution.
Technical leadership skills for supporting project management, back office & pre-sales staff and in managing projects with little supervision.
Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal).
Experience and talented in customer-facing white board and WebEx presentations.
Proven success managing relationships with customers, vendors and staff.
Superior organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to creatively solve complex problems.
Ability to guide customer/user ideas into realistic technical solutions: Must have the ability to utilize experience and technical judgment to analyze and investigate customer requirements and to reach conclusions, when faced with limited data.
Hands-on and deep understanding of HTTP Protocol and caching, website architectures, Internet advertising techniques, including tracking and analytics.
Knowledge of Flash Media/Windows Media/Wowza Svr2/mobile stream Server/Client and website architectures.
Knowledge of Javascript, XML, Java, Ruby On Rails, PHP Scripting, and other web site development technologies.
Understanding of web site performance analysis and metrics.
BA/BS in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Information Systems or similar.
Requires 25-30% travel.
