Duties & Responsibilities:
The Research Associate assists the Director of the Belfer Center in conducting in-depth research on international security issues as well as supervises the collaborative activities of the research team. The Research Associate plays the leading role in developing research products including policy memos, op-eds, journal articles, and book chapters, and performs related job duties as required.
Basic Qualifications:
Master's degree in public administration, public policy, political science, or a closely related field is required. Minimum of three years related work experience performing research (quantitative or qualitative). Must have significant knowledge of current international security issues and project management experience.
Additional Qualifications:
Excellent research, writing skills, editing, and communication skills are essential. Working understanding of statistical and quantitative methods. Initiative and sound judgment required. Must have the capacity to work with a wide range of individuals and to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously. Attention to detail required. Experience in an academic setting a plus.
