Description:
The International is a 36 hole private golf club consisting of two highly regarded courses. The Tom Fazio designed Oaks opened in 2001 is currently ranked # 7 in Massachusetts and The Pines is currently the longest golf course in the world at 8,325 yards. The equipment fleet is expected to be kept at the same high level as the golf courses.
Educational Requirements: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Formal technical training in golf course maintenance equipment a plus. Basic computer skills.
Experience: 4-5 years of golf course experience, ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of golf course equipment including: diesel and gasoline engines as well as knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems. Must have excellent knowledge of reel grinding and set up techniques. Ability to weld and fabricate. Ability to train and manage an assistant mechanic.
Special Requirements: Individual must be highly organized and self motivated with a strong attention to detail. Must be able to maintain accurate and complete maintenance records, develop a comprehensive preventative maintenance program as well as maintain a clean and organized shop. Ability to purchase parts and supplies within a budget and control inventories of such. Must have own set of tools. Individual must be a team player with ability to interact with large and diverse staff.
