POSITION OVERVIEW: This role will be the lead finance partner to the New Growth Platforms (“NGP”) organization. The individual will be a strategic thought partner to teams engaged in NGP-related activity, and will be responsible for supporting effective evaluation and prioritization of growth investments. In addition, this position is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and tools to enhance the quality and availability of financial information and metrics, in support of the Company’s growth agenda. Other responsibilities include oversight of internal controls and monitoring of expenditures. Provides financial consultancy on projects. Proactively presents financial analysis to Corporate and Group/BU management to ensure a full understanding of the financial impact of the Company’s investment in new growth platforms.
REPORTS TO: VP, Global Financial Planning & Analysis (solid line) SVP, New Growth Platforms (dotted line)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Drive process for NGP teams to develop robust business plans (and AFEs, as needed) for each key initiative, including financial due diligence and modeling associated with potential new NGPs. Challenge key assumptions underlying business plans. Support teams in developing action plans to achieve growth objectives and/or mitigate risks inherent in their plans.
§ Develop/refine processes and tools to measure the Company’s portfolio of growth initiatives and to monitor progress against strategic milestones and financial targets related to NGP activity.
§ Facilitate strategic planning process and analysis related to optimizing the overall growth portfolio (e.g., growth and ROI targets, pacing of investment, etc.).
§ Lead process for developing annual and long-term revenue, expense and capital plans for NGP-related activity. Obtain full understanding and sign-off by budget owners.
§ Prepare monthly actual and quarterly forecast reports for expense and capital spending, ensuring proper and timely month-end close for NGP cost centers.
§ Work closely with Group/BU finance teams to effectively measure and monitor financial impact of NGP activity that crosses corporate and divisional boundaries.
§ Address transfer pricing issues related to NGP activity.
§ Review financial results against expectations (plan/forecast); identify discrepancies and trends.
§ Support other key FP&A; initiatives, as required.
Position Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
§ Ten to fifteen years of experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally at a Corporate level; experience in new business development preferred.
§ Bachelors degree; Masters preferred.
§ Strong interpersonal and team building skills; ability to work with a diverse team and influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries.
§ Strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
§ Strong FP&A; and analytic skills, including superior financial modeling, Excel, and database skills.
§ Strong systems expertise; Hyperion and Cognos experience preferred.
§ Continuous improvement attitude; ability to seek out and implement internal or external best practices.

§ Significant travel may be required.
