Job Description:

This position will lead the accounting, audit support, tax, and compliance functions of the PSPC business. The role is actively involved in the development as well as implementation of policies, processes, and systems. Responsibilities include oversight of the monthly closing process, implementing control procedures to ensure US GAAP compliance and Harris policy adherence. The position is ultimately responsible for the preparation and reporting of the financial statements for the consolidated PSPC business to Harris Corporate.

* Manage and oversee monthly closing process, GAAP compliance, reporting of actual results for multiple PSPC entities (US, International) to Corporate for consolidation.
* Provide timely and accurate financial results for the PSPC business.
* Provide management, guidance, and coordination of the annual Internal Controls Self Assessment (ICSA) and other SOX404 requirements.
* Manage the internal and external audit requirements
* Assess and implement improvements to streamline closing processes.
* Responsible for tax and reporting requirements (sales and use, property tax), as well as support Harris tax department with Federal and State returns.
* Respond to ad hoc inquiries within challenging deadlines.
* Ability to handle multiple complex projects and drive desired results.
* Ability to partner with senior leaders and perform analysis / risk assessments.
* Effectively Manage the accounting staff (3) and tax (3).
* Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Qualifications:

* 10 plus years of direct work experience with escalating levels of responsibility.
* Bachelor degree in Accounting
* Prior experience as a senior finance leader in an accounting organization.
* Prior experience with financial system implementations.
* Prior mergers and acquisition experience.
* Effective leadership skills: Change management, ability to build and develop organizational talent, and the ability to operate in a matrix structure.
* Proficient in SAP, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
