Smurfette gets a makeover

    (Fox 25/MyFoxBoston.com) - A popular cartoon character is getting a high fashion makeover.

    Smurfette graces the pages of the latest Harpers Bazaar dressed in top designer duds from Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs and Dolce and Gabbana.

    The 1970's cartoon character got the grown-up look to celebrate the Smurf's new movie that hits theaters next month.

    Smurfette has expensive taste. She has a nearly $5,000 purse and a $900 pair of shoes.
