'Real Housewives of New Jersey' stars sued after bar brawl

(NewsCore) - NEW YORK -- A lawsuit has been filed against "Real Housewives of New Jersey" stars for their involvement in a bar brawl in the Dominican Republic , People reported Tuesday.

Cast members were partying at a bar in the Caribbean nation when they allegedly assaulted fellow club patrons Adolfo Arreola, Jason Gomez, and other members of their party on February 23.

According to papers filed in New York State Supreme Court, "Real Housewives" cast member Teresa Giudice popped a bottle of champagne all over the neighboring party, and the champagne "caused severe eye irritation" for Arreola's mother-in-law. Following the incident, Giudice reportedly "laughed at, mocked, humiliated, insulted, and physically approached" the party.

Arreola and Gomez asserted that male cast members including Joe Giudice, Albert Manzo, Albie Manzo and Christopher Manzo then began to physically attack the plaintiffs "without provocation."

"They stomped on them. Kicked them. It was all brute force," said their attorney Tom Demetrio. "And there were no criminal repercussions because the D.R. police arrested no one. That's what's upsetting."

The lawsuit, which was filed against the cast members, Bravo, the production company, and the Hard Rock Hotel where the brawl took place, will seek unspecified damages for the physical injuries to the plaintiffs.

Reps for Bravo and the Housewives declined to comment.
