MARTIN COUNTY, Fla (NewsCore) - Davy Jones, the lead singer of the pop group The Monkees, died Wednesday at the age of 66, TMZ reported.

Jones reportedly suffered a heart attack Wednesday morning.

An official with the medical examiner's office in Martin County, Fla., told the entertainment website the office received a call from Martin Memorial Hospital informing them that Jones had died.
