(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A new lawsuit claims a fast food franchise is ringing the wrong bell when they call their food “seasoned beef”.

A Taco Bell customer has filed suit claiming the chain's meat mixture only contains 35 percent meat. According to standards set by the US department of agriculture, if that is true, it shouldn't be classified as *beef* at all.

The suit says that Taco Bell makes up the difference with things like corn starch and wheat oats.

The complainant does not ask for money, only that taco bell use honesty in advertising.

The lawsuit was filed Jan. 19 in a US district court in California on behalf of plaintiff Amanda Obney and "all persons in the United States who purchased any food product from Taco Bell that was advertised or labeled as containing 'beef,' 'seasoned ground beef' or 'seasoned beef.
